The second podcast episode of the week is up and it's a long one. It was almost half the length, ending with our discussion of The Spirit #1 because of some audio problems that I managed to fix (mostly). There are still some issues with Tim's side of the conversation in a few places, but, for the most part, it sounds like it always does. Besides The Spirit #1, we also discuss DV8: Gods and Monsters #1, Captain America: Who Won't Wield the Shield #1, Ultimate Comics Avengers #6, Joe the Barbarian #4, plus we continute some of the conversation from last episode, preempting the argument that, since I demand writers and artists challenge themselves and do new things, how can I enjoy works by writers like Warren Ellis and Grant Morrison that people think keep repeating themselves. This leads to us creating a new four-point critiquing system for writers. Want to know what it is? Listen to the episode!

Aww, Chad, you're like Orson Welles. That Marvel Boy post is your Citizen Kane, and your succeeding posts have been artistically compromised by your awful editors. That's what you get for wanting money.
Let's see, Podcast ideas... Let me just look at what's coming out this week.
I don't think I've ever heard you even mention Robert Kirkman, Chad. I know Tim finally hopped on the Walking Dead trolley. And that he enjoyed Kirkman's Destroyer. Any Invincible reading?
Or what about Hickman's Fantastic Four? Ever give that a proper chance, Chad?
Can't think of any broad topics as this point, but I did enjoy those four quadrants Tim came up with this week.
I have no opinion on Kirkman. Haven't read much of his writing. What little I've read was forgettable and left no impression whatsoever.
Haven't read any more of Hickman's FF, no.
And if that Marvel Boy essay was my Citizen Kane, kill me now.
Those were supposed to be podcast ideas, Chad!
Perhaps I should indulge your request and kill you now.
Well, perhaps Tim can sell you on Kirkman while you sell him on Ennis. He already championed Johns over Ellis, so I think Tim could pull it off.
Ugh. It broke my heart when he said Kick-Ass was better than The Boys, too.
We can discuss Kirkman. I only responded because I have nothing to add for the podcast, so I wasn't sure if it would make for a good topic.
