I recently reviewed Ignition City #3 for CBR and, in the process, wrote the following sentences: "One four-panel sequence over two pages showcasing Kharg the Killer is particularly well done, economically telling us everything we need to know about the character. Not just the scenes themselves, which show Kharg killing a child or walking across a landscape covered with dead, naked bodies, but in how Pagliarani depicts Kharg. The calm, collected facial expression that doesn’t change no matter the situation and the stiff-yet-casual body language tell us a lot about his character without a single line of dialogue."You can read the rest HERE!

I agree with your review, except that I don't think any eventual follow-ups to the mini will feature the same setting. The Deadwood-inspired background seems to be unraveling itself as the story goes on, with no more major characters introduced past the profanity-filled #1. The current players seem to have roles that will come full circle during the context of the series, with the only new characters being aliens, played mostly for laughs.
I can see the next "Ignition city" project as being either a prequel, or a direct follow-up set in outer space (which kind of defeats the basic concept).
I disagree -- I don't see things unraveling too much. I can see a character or two taken off the board, but that's it. Besides, Ignition City is a big enough place that the next series could have an entirely new cast without too many problems.
